![]() SALES PROCEEDS FROM SHUSHAN LAVASH WILL GO TO ANC-GLENDALE Glendale, CA – The Armenian National Committee Glendale Chapter announced today that Freedom Baking Inc. will donate 5% of all sales proceeds from Shushan Lavash beginning April 14th - April 30th to the Armenian National Committee – Glendale Chapter. During the designated period ANCG information cards will be included in Shushan Lavash packets at participating retailers. “It is very gratifying to collaborate with and give to an organization that has for decades fought for the well being of the Armenian American community in the United States,” stated Karen Gevorkyan, owner of Freedom Baking Inc. “Freedom Baking wholeheartedly supports the Armenian National Commit Just in the past year, the Armenian National Committee –Glendale Chapter met with elected officials to ensure recognition of the Armenian Genocide, hosted educational forums for non-English speaking Armenian parents, partnered with and sponsored community organizations and events, established an internship program to activate the next generation, and continued its voter education and outreach efforts amongst many other activities. The money raised through the sale of Shushan Lavash will directly be used to continue such efforts. “This is a truly innovative approach to corporate stewardship and we applaud Freedom Baking’s commitment to help promote and advance the well being of the Armenian-American community in Glendale,” stated Elen Asatryan, Executive Director of ANC-Glendale Chapter. “It is only through collaboration and close partnerships that our community can grow and stand strong,” added Asatryan.
