ANCG Sponsors "Not Even for a Minute" Campaign

In early August, the Armenian National Committee - Glendale C
hapter joined forces with other community based organizations and businesses in sponsorship of Glendale Sunrise Rotary's "Not Even for a Minute" banner campaign. The NEFAM Campaign, which originated in New Jersey, is designed to alert caretakers not to leave a child unattended in or around a motor vehicle.
Every summer, there is a tragic story about a child being left in a vehicle and suffering from heat stroke due to rapidly rising temperatures. Many parents mistakenly think they can leave a child in a vehicle while -running a quick errand, unfortunately, a delay of just a few minutes can lead to disaster.
"The Glendale Sunrise Rotary and the Los Angeles County Medical Association Alliance partnered with local merchants and organizations by placing banners on Brand Blvd. in the month of August," stated Peggy Riddle, Public Relations Officer of Glendale Sunrise Rotary. " We are happy to partner with organizations like the ANC-Glendale in a crusade to save children from unnecessary injury and tragic death," added Riddle.
