October 30 , 2008

The Armenian National Committee - Glendale Chapter announced this week that applications for the Spring 2009 Session of the ANCG Internship Program are now available.  Interested individuals can view and download copies of the application by visiting the "For Students" section of the ANC Glendale website (www.ancglendale.org).

"The ANC Glendale Internsinterpichip Program has not only sharpened my communication and network skills, but it has also given me the opportunity to understand the fundamentals of politics, public relations and grassroots organization," stated Tamar Tomassian, current intern with ANCG. "The experience I have gained will without a doubt benefit me personally and allow me to better serve my community," added Thomassian.

In addition to networking with community leaders, candidates participate in workshops featuring a variety of guest speakers, including public officials, ANC leadership, and specialists from the community. Interns also partake in joint projects with fellow interns as well as individual sessions ranging from media relations and civic participation to grassroots advocacy.

The 2009 Spring Session of the ANCG Internship Program will begin on January 5, 2009 and run through May 2nd. Applications for the internship are available on the ANC Glendale Chapter website at www.ancglendale.org and through the ANCG headquarters. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, December 1, 2008 to be considered for the Spring 2009 Session.  Applications will be reviewed and those deemed qualified will be invited for an interview before final selections are made..
