ANCG FIGHTS AGAINST CANCER AT RELAY FOR LIFE
October 1 , 2008

In late September ANC Glendale joined the rest of the Glendale Community to help raise funds to support the programs and services of the American Cancer Society at the Glendale Relay for Life. For the past 4 years, ANC-Glendale Chapter has been an integral part of the Relay For Life planning committee and has stood as a ANCG Relay for Life Team major sponsor for this important cause.

"My participation with the Glendale Relay for Life committee and team captains has made me realize the remarkable extent at which volunteers are willing to go to help fight cancer. I have met such selfless and determined individuals on the committee who have motivated me to put all my efforts into this valuable cause in hopes that my work will help spread awareness of the continuous battle to fight cancer," stated Summer 2008 intern Tatev Oganyan. "I am certain that our combined efforts will make a great impact on supporting cancer research, motivating participation within the community, and giving hope to cancer patients," added Oganyan.

This year, aside from standing as a sponsor, ANCG formed a team to show its support on the day of the event. The ANC-Glendale representative on the Relay For Life planning committee was summer intern, Tatev Oganyan.
