![]() Armenian National Committee - Glendale Chapter Announces GLENDALE, CA - The Armenian National Committee - Glendale Chapter (ANCG) announced today the launch of its new internship program, which will begin this coming fall. The eight-week, part time leadership program will be aimed towards driven high school seniors, college students, and recent college graduates who are interested in gaining an in-depth understanding of Armenian-American issues as well as advocacy efforts on the local level. In addition to networking with other leaders, candidates will participate in weekly workshop series featuring a variety of guest speakers, including public officials, ANC leadership, and specialists from the community. Moreover, interns will partake in joint projects with fellow interns as well as individual sessions. "The ANC-Glendale Chapter Internship Program is designed to provide participants with the tools they need to translate their ideals into action for improving their own communities," said Elen Asatryan, Executive Director of ANCG. "It's a unique opportunity which will allow interns to build strong networks, while working for the Armenian cause," added Asatryan. The 2007 Fall Session of the ANCG Internship Program will begin on October 15 and run through December 14th. Applications for the internship program are available through the ANC-Glendale Chapter website at www.ancglendale.org or by contacting ANCG at (818) 243-3444. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, September 21, 2007 to be considered for the Fall 2007 Session. After applications are reviewed, those deemed qualified will be invited for an interview.
